At the last count, they had four children.

Together with Jan, he oversees the children’s work and music ministry; they have three of their own children, and a tortoise that’s even older than Steve.

They have five wonderful children, Jamie, Beth, David, Jonny and Anna, who have grown up far too quickly!

Chris & Patsy Jelfs

Chris & Patsy Jelfs

Chris & Patsy have both lived in and around Worcester all their lives and been involved with City Church for many years. Patsy was trained as a Podiatrist and after cutting her time with the NHS, maintains a number of private patients. Chris trained as an engineer with the former Royal Signals and Radar and works as a Design Engineer for an automated weighing machine manufacturer. They have both enjoyed significant involvement with The Alpha Course and love to see lives radically impacted by the power of God’s love. They both enjoy chilling out with their large family and friend networks including their son Tom, who shares his father’s love of vintage cars and engineering conundrums!

Neil & Jo Sprague

Neil & Jo Sprague

Neil and Jo Sprague moved into the area in 2006, after 6 years based in London and 10 years in Nottingham. They love helping to run the Celebrate Recovery course and see God transform lives! Neil plays cricket for his village team (and is always looking to recruit players); Jo tries to stay on a horse for an hour each week. They both work and have 3 children. In the Sprague household, Friday night is curry night.

Rick and Liz Thomas

Rick and Liz Thomas

Rick and Liz have been part of the leadership of City Church since it began, in their home, when Rick still had hair! Until recently, Rick led the team, but now they have been released to develop the wider ministry of the church, through regional links and church planting. Liz works with pre-school, special needs children and Rick does some part-time hospital medicine. Their own three children have all fled the nest, leaving only a bouncy black Labrador, permanently stuck in teenage.
