About us
City Church was started in 1980 by a small group of people with big ideas.
We had vision for a church which was passionate for God, committed in relationships, mobilised everybody in teamwork, and was determined to make a difference! We thought it was a new and radical vision, but in fact it describes the original New Testament version!
Today, City Church is an all-age 'family' of about 300 folk. We own a building in Barbourne, just north of the city centre, which acts as a six-day-a-week centre, and houses many of our activities. On Sundays we gather at Christopher Whitehead Language College on the west side of the river.
